Fishing

A while back we went fishing and didn't catch a thing except hundreds of no-see-um bites. That's the end of fishing in streams for me. Those bites itch for weeks. I guess I'll do my fishing at the grocery store from now on. Tomorrow I'll be at the farmers market. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.

  1. Nice plate! The noseeums have been fierce this summer. They come through the screens at night. Ugh!

    1. Hi Suzi, thanks, we don't have them at our home but they sure were at the river.

  2. Good luck on your pottery sales at the market tomorrow...and enjoy fish caught without your sacrifice to no-see-ums!

  3. Oh, Linda, I love to fish... or used to... haven't fished in ages. But growing up in Louisiana, my dad had a camp (one room shack) on Grand Isle (hurricanes have since done away with it). But we'd go there to fish and I loved it. Did get pretty bit up by mosquitoes, but I was a kid and didn't mind. Nice looking platter!

    1. Hi Rian, thanks, I used to love to fish as well, but I think I am going to stick with fishing in lakes and not near the streams.

  4. I am grateful that while we have a lot of bitey beasts we don't have no seeums.
    Good luck at the market.

    1. Hi Sue, thanks, we didn't have no seeums in California and not at our home but they sure were at the river. WE had organic spray but it didn't do anything to repel them.

  5. Sand flies/midges love me, too. But, I found "over-dosing" on vitamin B before going to areas where they are rife stops them biting...biting me, anyway.
